Career at the Bolshoi Theater
In 1981, Mukhamedov won the Grand Prix and the Gold Medal at the International Ballet Artists Competition in Moscow. He was immediately invited to the Bolshoi Theater and became the youngest performer of the role of Spartacus in Yuri Grigorovich's ballet of the same name.
He was a principal dancer at the Bolshoi Theater for 9 years, performing lead male roles in ballets such as "Ivan the Terrible," "Don Quixote," "Swan Lake," "Romeo and Juliet," "Giselle," "Raymonda," and "Legend of Love."
